Buyers who tap your ad ask about sizes, finishes and container loads: let the Agent answer first

Buyers of tiles, sanitary ware, doors, windows and furniture see your ad on Facebook or Instagram and tap to message you on WhatsApp, asking about sizes, finishes, MOQ and container loads. IceSell's built-in Agent (an AI sales assistant) answers at once in the buyer's language, from the material you wrote, then asks how much they need and which port it goes to. It never states a price: that goes to your salespeople.

What building materials and furniture buyers ask after tapping your ad

Eight kinds of questions arrive on WhatsApp again and again once a buyer has tapped your ad. Here is what IceSell does with each, in three groups.

Answers

The Agent answers from your material

  • Which sizes and finishes do you have? How thick is this door?

The answer is in your published product material: sizes, finishes, materials, whatever you wrote in the specifications.

  • How much fits in a 20ft container?

If you wrote the loading quantity into the product specifications or the FAQ, it answers from that. If you did not, it does not estimate: it tells the buyer it will check.

  • What is the MOQ? How long is the lead time? Which port do you ship from?

The answers are in the company profile and FAQ you wrote: MOQ, typical lead time, shipping and ports.

Asks first

The Agent asks first, then hands over

  • How much is this?

It never states an amount. It first finds out how much they need (containers or square meters) and which port, then passes it to a colleague, who sends the quotation.

  • I want a mixed container: tiles and sanitary ware together.

Once the buyer has said how much of each and where to, it passes the inquiry to a colleague as a qualified inquiry. How to load the container and how to quote it is for your colleague to decide.

Hands over

Always goes to your team

  • Can I get a sample?

It tells the buyer your sample policy as you wrote it, then hands the request to a colleague to arrange.

  • We need a custom size and custom packaging.

Custom work your material does not cover goes to a colleague to discuss.

  • The goods arrived damaged. How do we pay? I want to talk to a person.

Complaints (marked urgent), payment and contracts, buyers who ask for a person, and very large orders always go to a colleague. The Agent never decides these alone.

An example conversation

A buyer taps your ad and sends a first message on WhatsApp, in English. The Agent answers in English.

Example conversationA made-up company and buyer. The models, specs and numbers are invented.
  1. Buyer

Hi, I saw your ad on Facebook. Do you have 600x600 matt porcelain tiles? How many square meters fit in a 20ft container, and what is the MOQ? Please send your price list.

  2. Agent

Hello, I'm Lily, an AI assistant. Yes: BT-6001 is a 600x600 mm matt porcelain tile, 10 mm thick, in 4 colors. One 20ft container holds about 1,100 square meters, and the MOQ is one container, with designs mixed. I can't send prices myself; a colleague will send you a quotation. How many containers do you need, and which port should we ship to?

  3. Buyer

3 containers, mixed designs. Port of Jeddah.

  4. Agent

Thank you! I've passed this to my colleague, who will contact you.

The need is clear: a "Qualified inquiry" card appears on the workbench. A salesperson clicks "I will follow up", the buyer is theirs, and the Agent stops replying.

Getting the Agent to know your products

The Agent answers only from what you have published, so write these four things first. You do not need to finish them all at once: start with the ranges buyers ask about most.

  1. Product details: one entry per range or model

In Products & suppliers, create a product with its name, model, description and specifications, then press Publish. A draft is invisible to the Agent.

For example: size, thickness, finish, color, material, and the loading quantity: how much fits in a 20ft container and in a 40ft high cube. Do not write prices.

  2. FAQ: write it the way you answer buyers

In Knowledge, the FAQ tab holds question-and-answer pairs. Publish them and mark them public: only then does the Agent use them.

For example: Can designs be mixed in one container? How is it packed? How do you send samples?

  3. Company profile: MOQ, lead time, ports, sample policy

In the Company tab, each section holds one entry: MOQ, typical lead time, shipping and ports, sample policy, custom capability. Write your rules as plain text.

For example: whether the MOQ is one container or several, and which port you ship from.

  4. Let the AI fill in the Agent, then rehearse

On the Agent page, paste a short company introduction and press "Fill it in for me": the AI fills in the Agent's name, introduction, tone and languages. Read it, change what is wrong, and press Save. Then use "Rehearse with the Agent" and play the buyer: nothing is sent to anyone.

For example: ask it "How much fits in a 20ft container?" and check the answer.

Questions from this industry

Do I make my ads in IceSell?

No. Ads are made in Meta's own tools. IceSell starts when a buyer taps your ad and messages you on WhatsApp: the Agent answers in the buyer's language, finds out what they want, how many and where to, and hands the real buyers to your salespeople.

Will the Agent work out the container load by itself?

No. It states only the loading quantities you wrote down. If you did not, it does not estimate and does not say you cannot do it: it tells the buyer it will check, and adds the question to the "To answer" list in Knowledge for you to fill in.

Can the Agent handle mixed containers?

It can find out each product, the quantities and the destination port (asking at most two things at a time). Once the buyer has made them clear, your salesperson gets a qualified inquiry. How to load the container and how to quote it is for your colleague to decide.

Can the Agent send pictures and catalogs?

Yes. Upload pictures to the product, or upload the catalog PDF as an attachment to a knowledge-base answer and mark it as something customers may receive. When a buyer asks, the Agent attaches it to its reply. Whether you see it first is your setting on the Agent page.

My buyers are in different time zones. What happens at night?

The Agent receives buyers around the clock and replies in the language they write in (16 languages in all); your colleagues see a translation under each foreign-language message. Your colleagues have working hours: if a buyer writes after hours, the Agent can first reply that it has received the message, and a colleague follows up when the day starts.
