Fabric buyers who tap your Meta ad ask about gsm, width and MOQ: let the Agent answer first

Buyers see your ad on Facebook or Instagram and tap to message you on WhatsApp, asking about gsm, width, composition, colors, MOQ and lead time. IceSell's built-in Agent (an AI sales assistant) answers at once in the buyer's language, from the material you wrote, then asks how many and where to, and hands the real buyers to your salespeople. Samples, prices and payment it never decides alone.

  • Answers only from your material
  • The Agent never quotes a price
  • 16 customer languages
  • Says it is an AI assistant by default

What fabric buyers ask after tapping your ad

Eight kinds of questions arrive on WhatsApp again and again once a buyer has tapped your ad. Here is what IceSell does with each, in three groups.

Answers

The Agent answers from your material

  • What are the width and composition of your 280 gsm fleece?

The answer is in your published product material: whatever you wrote in the specifications, it says.

  • What is your MOQ? How long is the lead time?

The answers are in the FAQ and company profile you wrote. For lead time it gives only the typical time you wrote, and never promises a particular day.

  • Do you have OEKO-TEX or GRS certificates?

If you wrote it down and uploaded the certificate file, it answers truthfully and can send the file. If you did not, it does not say "yes" or "no" for you: it tells the buyer it will check.

Asks first

The Agent asks first, then hands over

  • How much per meter?

It never states an amount. It first finds out which item, how much and where to, then passes it to a colleague, who sends the quotation.

  • Can you match our color?

If you wrote your rules for custom colors, it answers from them and asks how many you need. Anything your rules do not cover goes to a colleague.

Hands over

Always goes to your team

  • Can I get a sample?

It tells the buyer your sample policy as you wrote it, then hands the request to a colleague to arrange.

  • We want our own print and our logo.

Custom work your material does not cover goes to a colleague to discuss.

  • The last shipment had a problem. How do we pay? I want to talk to a person.

Complaints (marked urgent), payment and contracts, buyers who ask for a person, and very large orders always go to a colleague. The Agent never decides these alone.

An example conversation

A buyer taps your ad and sends a first message on WhatsApp, in English. The Agent answers in English.

Example conversationA made-up company and buyer. The specs and numbers are invented.
  1. Buyer

Hi, I saw your ad on Facebook. Do you have 280 gsm polar fleece? What are the width and the MOQ? Please send your best price.

  2. Agent

Hello, I'm Lily, an AI assistant. Yes: PF280 is 280 gsm, 150 cm wide, 100% polyester. The MOQ is 1,000 meters per color. I can't give prices myself; a colleague will send you a quotation. To prepare it, how many meters do you need, and where should we ship?

  3. Buyer

About 3,000 meters in 3 colors. Shipping to Chittagong.

  4. Agent

Thank you! I've passed this to my colleague, who will contact you.

The need is clear: a "Qualified inquiry" card appears on the workbench. A salesperson clicks "I will follow up", the buyer is theirs, and the Agent stops replying.

Getting the Agent to know your fabrics

The Agent answers only from what you have published, so write these four things first. You do not need to finish them all at once: start with what buyers ask most.

  1. Product details: one entry per fabric

In Products & suppliers, create a product with its name, model, description and specifications, then press Publish. A draft is invisible to the Agent.

For example: gsm, width, composition, colors, packing. Do not write prices: the Agent never states an amount, and anything you write is masked.

  2. FAQ: write it the way you answer buyers

In Knowledge, the FAQ tab holds question-and-answer pairs. Publish them and mark them public: only then does the Agent use them.

For example: Do you sell by the meter or by the yard? What is the minimum order for a custom color, and how long does it take?

  3. Company profile: MOQ, lead time, sample policy, certificates

In the Company tab, each section holds one entry: MOQ, typical lead time, sample policy, custom capability, shipping and ports. Certificate files are uploaded there too. Write your rules for samples and MOQ as plain text.

For example: how many meters you give as a sample and how you send it; the minimum order per color.

  4. Let the AI fill in the Agent, then rehearse

On the Agent page, paste a short company introduction and press "Fill it in for me": the AI fills in the Agent's name, introduction, tone and languages. Read it, change what is wrong, and press Save. Then use "Rehearse with the Agent" and play the buyer: nothing is sent to anyone.

For example: ask it "Can you match our color?" and "Can I get a sample?".

The IceSell knowledge base FAQ page: question-and-answer pairs, each marked as published. A note at the top says the Agent only uses content that is published and customer-facing. Questions from this industry

Do I make my ads in IceSell?

No. Ads are made in Meta's own tools. IceSell starts when a buyer taps your ad and messages you on WhatsApp: the Agent answers in the buyer's language, finds out what they want, how many and where to, and hands the real buyers to your salespeople.

A buyer asks for OEKO-TEX or GRS certificates. Will the Agent say "yes" when it is not true?

No. It says only what your material states. Upload the certificate file to Knowledge and mark it as something customers may receive, and when a buyer asks, the Agent attaches it to its reply (whether you see it first is your setting on the Agent page). If it cannot find the answer, it does not make one up and does not say you have none: it tells the buyer it will check, and adds the question to the "To answer" list for you to fill in.

A buyer wants samples. Will the Agent just agree?

No. It tells the buyer your sample policy as you wrote it in the company profile, then hands the request to a colleague. Whether to send a sample and how is for your colleague and the buyer to settle.

We have many styles. Do I have to enter them all?

Not at once. Start with the styles buyers ask about most. Questions the Agent could not answer appear in the "To answer" list in Knowledge: that is what to write next. If your spec sheets are PDFs, you can upload them to the product and mark them public: the Agent can read the text in them page by page (a scan has no text, so it cannot read it).

My buyers are in other time zones and write at night. What then?

The Agent receives buyers around the clock, while your colleagues have working hours. Whether its replies go out directly or wait for your approval is your choice on the Agent page. If they wait, then after hours the Agent first tells the buyer the message has been received, and the full reply waits for you.
